Read Now, Travel Later

COVID-19 has changed the world. The tourism industry has been one of the hardest hit areas of the global pandemic. Local restaurants, museums, state and national parks have all changed hours of operation, procedures, and some have gone out of business altogether.

Please verify current operations of any places you want to visit mentioned in these articles, and contact me if a business has permanently closed so I can update the article. Thank you and stay safe out there!

Charleston has become one of the top tourism destinations in the world, and certainly the most popular in the South. It’s a big city packed with history, culture, world-class dining, and shopping. But where do you begin with an exploration of the gorgeous city?

100 Things to Do in Charleston Before You Die is like a handy guide that isn’t a guide at all. What the what? Okay lemme explain; the book is written more like a recap of a completed bucket list rather than a drab travel guide. The book includes 100 entries covering history, recreation, shopping, drinking and dining. Local authors Lynn and Cele Seldon really covered the best of the best to do in Charleston, except they didn’t mention the travel writer everyone should take out for a drink before I die.
